Frequently Asked Questions

How should I prepare for my visit?

Make sure you remove all trace of eye make-up with a make-up remover and wash your lashes before your appointment. Lash extensions will not bond to dirty lashes. If your lashes are not 100% clean we will need to clean them before the service, which will cut into your lashing time.

No caffeine at least 6 hours before your appointment. Caffeine causes the eyes to flutter, which makes it difficult for us to place the lash extension within 1 second before the adhesive cures.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING THE SERVICE?

You will be laying on a very plush recliner with your eyes closed to the tune of soothing music in the background. We will isolate each individual natural lash and apply a lash extension to the base of your natural lash within 1 second. The entire process is pain free. If you feel any discomfort, please let us know right away. This is a great time to take a nap or you may bring headphones to listen to a podcast/music. We try to keep talking to a minimum once the service begins because when we talk, sometimes our eyes move. This will result in your lash artist working at a slower rate and your set may not be full. If you have any questions about the process, please reach out to us. :)

How do I maintain my new lash extensions after the visit?

  • Wash your lashes daily with a lash cleanser.

  • Gently brush your lashes daily so they are detangled and shed properly.

  • No oil based make-up or make-up remover around the eyes.

  • Avoid oil based eye creams and moisturizers.

  • Do not pick or pull on your extensions.
Do not sleep on your face.

  • Avoid touching your lashes with your fingers because they contain oils. If you need to reposition your lashes, use a spooly to brush them in place.

How often should I get a refill?

Refills should be between 2-3 weeks. You naturally shed between 2-5 natural lashes on a daily basis and should have about 40% of your lash extensions intact on the day of your refill appointment for it to be considered a refill. Anything past 4 weeks is considered a full set.

Do I need to wait 24 hours to get my lash extensions wet?

No, you do not. We use high quality adhesive with a combination of nano misting your lashes during/after your service to ensure the adhesive has completely cured before you lease our studio.

Can I wear makeup?

We recommend you do not use any mascara on your lash extensions because residue of mascara and the oils will break down the adhesive and cause poor retention. If you use make up around the eyes, we recommend using oil free make-up/make-up remover to keep your lash extensions healthy and fresh. Please remember that your lash extension needs to be squeaky clean when you come in for a refill to ensure the adhesive can bond to your natural lash. Adhesive will not bond over dirty lashes.

Why do I need to wash my lashes?

Our lashes catch a lot of dirt and derbis through out the day and our skin produces a lot of oils (which is bad for lash extensions.) Washing them daily will keep your lashes healthy and free of any eye infection, like Blepharitis, Conjunctivitis, or etc. Washing your lashes daily actually helps you achieve better retention.

Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes?

Lash extensions will not damage your natural lashes as long as they are properly applied with the correct amount of weight on each natural lash.

Can I go swimming with lash extensions?

Absolutely! After you swim in a pool/beach, make sure you wash your lashes with a lash cleanser to remove any salts or chlorine from your lashes and dry them.

Why are my extensions not as long/full AS my previous ONES with another salon?

We are all unique and do not have the same genetic built, just like our lashes. During your consultation, we will ask you what is your preference with shape/style and what you are looking to achieve with lash extensions. We will do our best to achieve your desired look but it will solely depend on your current state of your natural lash. Our first and main priority is lash health and safety; overloading your natural lash could cause permanent damage. We want to preserve and keep your natural lashes healthy so you can continue to have lash extensions for years.
